So despite being , very tight on cash i decided to splurge and see the Death Cab For Cutie. All in all it probably cost me about 60$ I am sure i can sell a few games to make up the loss.
And it was totally worth it.
The more i think about it, the more I realize Material wealth isn't what is going to make you happy in the long run, when you have a chance to see something you like on the stage or on the screen, those moments are worth more than any collection. and as much as it would be nice to have a fancy home, I would rather a modest home and a chance to travel and experience new and fun things every year, but hey to each their own right?
anyhow, back to the concert. It was very cool, I love death Cabs sound, despite the fact that something melancholy is probably not the best idea right now, but still it put me in a good place, so it was worth it.
The set up was something Impressive. they had 5 12 foot LED panels behind the band, that were used to play some sceensaver esq videos, but they all fit with the songs so I cant complain.
The light set up was also very impressive. because all these LED panels were surrounded with LED moving lights. and because the panels were slatted they had lights behind them to make for some cool effects. For the big numbers the screens were very active, then when they slowed things down for songs like "I will follow you in to the dark" it became very simple. the lights closed in and brought everything down to that pace.
I think overall the design was very successful. It worked well with the band, and made the show Absolutely fucking spectacular.
anyhow ,here are some pics and a vid, excuse the shitty quality it was taken on my phone.
