Sneaking in a mini review

Arcade fire - The suburbs

i don't know, i just feel that Arcade fire has dropped the ball on this album.
Their last two albums were fantastic.
I am listening to it again right now as i write this and its just not doing it for me.
It just feels like almost every song is the same, it feels like there's no real variation to each track. i mean the first time i listened to it i couldn't even tell when it was a new song...
Now normally this would be a good thing, you know one song blending seamlessly to the next, but on the Suburbs its not blending, its repeating, well the lyrics change, but the beat remains the same.

the weird thing is all the things that i like about them are there: Melodic lyrics with Depth and power, amazing drum beats, Guitars battling with violins Cellos and pianos ect.
but it just feels like they didn't deliver all they could.
that being said, its still good, just not up on the same level as Funeral or Neon Bible.
also "Ready to start" and "Suburban war" are probably the best tracks on the album.
